LaRose Muscular Therapy will be offering Infant Massage classes for parents and their babies. This two hour class will teach parents how to massage their infant. Infant massage is a bonding activity for parents and their children; a special time of communication that fosters love, compassion, and respect.

The positive effects of Infant Massage have been well researched. Some of these benefits include:

Helps with congestion, gas, and colic

Improves sleep and awake patterns

Facilitates weight gain in preterm infants

Reduces levels of cortisol, the stress hormone

Helps to improve sensory and body awareness

Improves cognitive and motor development at eight months of age

This class will be most beneficial to those with children under three years of age. The cost is $40.00 per child, including materials and lotion (you may use your own lotion if you choose.) Each child may have one or two caregivers with them at class. This class will be taught by a certified instructor of Infant Massage. We can also do private classes at your home. Payment for the class can be made either by cash, check or credit card the day of the class or in advance, or can be made via paypal. Classes will be hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours long.
